Mr. Chethiya Rathnaweera

Chethiya Rathnaweera, a seasoned professional with a Master’s in Business Administration from Webster University (1st Class Honors) and a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Wolverhampton, serves as a Senior Lecturer at ICBS. With over a decade of experience in strategic and operational HR roles across diverse industries, including leadership positions at MM Noorbhoy & Co. and Kapruka Holdings, Chethiya brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the classroom.

In addition to his corporate expertise, Chethiya holds multiple qualifications in HR from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and a Diploma in Business Administration from Central Queensland University, Sydney. His hands-on experience in implementing HR systems and managing cross-functional teams enhances his teaching, making his lessons both relevant and impactful.

As the former President of the Webster University Business Club and an award-winning leader in HR, Chethiya combines strong academic foundations with extensive industry insights to equip ICBS students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in Business and Human Resource Management
