Dr. Kusala Kumara

Dr. Kusala Fernando is a distinguished Senior Lecturer at ICBS, specializing in Business Management and Human Resources. With a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Kelaniya and a Master of Public Administration in Education Management from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his students. Dr. Fernando also holds an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, and multiple postgraduate diplomas in Education, Education Administration, and International Relations, solidifying his interdisciplinary expertise.

His career includes serving as the Principal of leading colleges in Sri Lanka and as a former Divisional Director of Education, showcasing his leadership in the education sector. Internationally, Dr. Fernando has represented Sri Lanka as a Country Representative for the Commonwealth Youth Programme and presided over the Commonwealth Youth Council’s General Assembly. He has also contributed to the National Youth Policy Steering Committee, underscoring his commitment to youth development and policy.
