Mr. Heshan Karunaratne

Heshan Karunaratne, is the Director/CEO of SPIL Labs Pvt Ltd, the Research and Development Center for SPIL Software Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and also the President of the
CSSL and is a result oriented professional with 16+ years of experience covering Digital, ICT solution’s, marketing, innovation and market development with prestigious organizations

He commenced his career at hSenid Software International as a business analyst and over a period of 8 years became the head of two strategic business units. He was the CEO of Observerjobs (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited and was awarded the youngest print media CEO.

He also served as the Director, Business Development at Codegen International an extraordinary technology company taking you beyond, with purpose-built proprietary innovations to move the world forward. Before that he has served as the General Manager of The Projects Corporation & was a Senior Consultant of Ezy Corporation.

He holds a BSc (IT) from the Faculty of Information from the University Moratuwa Sri Lanka and a MBA from Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura. Serves as a Project Supervisor at the Faculty of Engineering of the Open University of Sri Lanka and was a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of University of Sabaragamuwa.

He was also a Board Director of the ICT Industry Skills Council He is passionate about helping the transformation of entities towards digitalization, e-Governance and ICT for development and also keen on inventions, history and supporting people who are less fortunate
